Shawntel Green - Director of Development and Consulting
Shawntel Green has an extensive background in Business Administration Management, Early Childhood Development and School Age Certification. Green's experience takes her back 15 years giving her valued hands on experience in child development, youth leadership and community development. Her expertise has granted her positions to serve on several community, non-profit and faith based boards as an advocate and a voice for qualty programming for individuals with direct contact with children and youth from all walks of life.
As a former 21st Century Community Learning Center Director she has created a model of excellence that brought her participants from below basic to proficient and advance. With three students recognized as Duke Talent Scholars and half the participating 3rd graders testing into gifted and talented based on the South Carolina Criteria. She has the proven gift and ability to provide a duplicatable model that can Increasing Parent Involvement from 1% to 59% in less than six months.
Green served as a subsitute teacher with an alternative school and impacted children served to become students who value education, and have gone to become honor students for the past three years.
Green has also served as an educational coordinator for parent of chidren with special needs. Her skills as a trainer has empowered parents to advocate for their children with special needs and systematic change. She has a great understanding of special education law and has directly trained over 1000 parents, professionals, and families while assisting in change throughout the special education system. From the local head start level through the college systems Green's knowledge and training abilities have impacted children with disabilities.
Green's knowledge of business, child development and the ability to advocated for young children and youth has been her motivating factor in creating Fresh Trainings R' Us and JAi Consulting. It is the core bases for her to continue to bring professionals and individuals from all walks of life together to build effective partnerships for the children and families we impact daily.

P. Wakili McNeill, MSW -
Wakili McNeill is the founder of the Zawadi Empowerment Center, a community consulting firm in Silver Spring Maryland. Raised in Chicago's rich multi-cultured neighborhoods, Wakili developed a strong respect and appreciation for cultural diversity. Wakili McNeill holds a Master’s degree in Social Work with a concentration in Community Development at Norfolk State University (NSU).
She has worked in youth development for over 10 years. Cultivating and influencing several diverse groups in Chicago, Baltimore, Virginia, Washington DC & Maryland her work has impacted both youth development professionals and young people directly in sectors such as: academic, faith- based institutions, neighborhood civic groups, city commissions, business advisory boards, and other community based groups.
As the Director of Youth & Community Development in Hampton, VA at Alternatives, Inc., Wakili has galvanized communities in Hampton & Newport News, VA to establish positive youth programming & youth- led advocacy. She has been instrumental in the development of several youth training tracks for national and statewide conferences.
Wakili has inspired non- traditional youth leaders to create positive action steps to address issues that are important in the lives of young people. As a Certified Advancing Youth Development Curriculum Facilitator, Wakili has trained youth professionals to work in partnership with young people to create positive sustainable change in the lives of young people and in the community at large. Wakili contributes her success to believing in the capacity of all people and recognizing the cultural arts as a valuable tool for empowerment.
